Dr. Anne Marie K. Pai
(Pai, Ming Yue)

Dr. Anne Marie Konane Pai (Pai, Ming Yue) is the Instructor at Dragon Moon Internal Arts Studio.   She is the senior student of Dragon Moon Martial Arts Association Director, Dr. Makia L. Pai (Pai, Gong Li).

Dr. Anne Marie K. Pai (Pai, Ming Yue) was the first student ever promoted to the honorable rank of fourth higher level and the first to be given the title of "Dragon Teacher" by her teacher.  As an authorized instructor and the Assistant Director of Dragon Moon Martial Arts Association, Dr. Anne Marie K. Pai prefers to teach the martial arts simply using her given Chinese name of Pai, Ming Yue rather than her English name with one of the titles bestowed upon her by her teacher such as Kumu (Hawaiian for teacher), Simo (Chinese for teacher-mother, usually reserved for the wife of the teacher), or Haka (Hawaiian for family spirit medium).  Although Pai, Ming Yue received her place in the prestigious Pai Family lineage through marriage, no one who has seen her ability to invoke the spirit of the ancestors would dispute that she was destined for the role.

Also a master of the fine arts, Pai, Ming Yue trained at some of the finest art schools in the country, including Moore College of Art & Design, where she earned the coveted "Distinguished Artist Award in Painting" during her senior year of B.F.A. training.   She went on to get a masters degree in art education, a doctor of education degree where her doctorate dissertation was entitled, "The Spiritual Aspects of the Impressionist Movement and its Effect on Art Education Today," and a masters degree in educational administation.  Following the traditional approach that martial arts instructors should be qualified to do more than just teach the martial arts, Pai, Ming Yue is a licensed real estate professional in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and holds various state educational certifications as well.

Whether she is teaching children, teens, or adults, Pai, Ming Yue is able to bring out the best in her students by using educationally sound methods of instruction that nurture all students to express themselves fully using the martial, meditative, and metaphysical arts.  Understanding that martial arts are much more than kicking and punching, Pai, Ming Yue teaches her students the spiritual perspective that her family style of kung fu and tai chi chuan is a way of successfully approaching all of life's challenges with an open mind and a joyous heart.
